Experiences make life interesting. They don’t have to be bucket list items, they don’t have to be expensive, they don’t even have to be far away. And they certainly don’t have to be something you only do occassionally. This site shares some of our favorite experiences, both in nature and in a more, shall we say, “artificial context.”
It doesn’t matter if the experience is attending events, traveling, the Arts, shopping, eating, or even just “wandering.” What matters is that you’re getting out and DOING. I’ve even written about not having to travel much at all, in Going Away Where You Are, elsewhere in this blog.
Experiences In More Than Just The South
My home is just south of Chattanooga, Tennessee, next to the Chickamauga National Battlefield. I’m excited about what I’m finding close to home. I definitely want to write about what’s in my own backyard.
Right now, that backyard looks to be between Nashville, Tennessee on the north, to Atlanta on the south. It will stretch from the Smokies and Savannah / the Georgia Coast on the east, to Birmingham and Huntsville, Alabama on the west.
I’ve lived in Wisconsin, Utah, Texas, Phoenix, the Bay area and the Seattle region. I’ve traveled internationally, and lived in Europe. Decades of travel and living experience mean I have reviews, ideas, opinions and suggestions about experiences everywhere I go.
Some of these posts will link to my CyranoWriter.com/Creative blog, where I’ve been posting poetry, prose, reviews, observations and ideas for more than a decade.
Get Out There! Experience!
In this Reviews of The South section of my NaturesGuy.com blog, I’ll make suggestions about the how and why of experiences. I’m a big believer in the philosophy of “get out there!” Too often, folks just sit around, planning and wishing and hoping and dreaming. They never actually just go and do.
Do new. That’s my suggestion. Have a do new day: Get out there! Experience!
